Background & Brief

To find a sophisticated, elegant venue near the West End, with space for 200 guests for a stand up reception. Event itself should be informal and warm. Catering also informal (non-seated) but substantial enough to represent dinner. The evening should be entertaining for each of the three generations present (kids, parents and grand-parents). Some outside space would be an advantage, but disco / dancing an essential.

Planning

KP Events was responsible for the entire project, working with the family on the initial creative, recommending and securing the perfect suppliers and delivering a flawless event on the night.

Delivery

The stunning Florence Room of the Royal Institute for British Architects provided the ideal setting. Outside terrace for canapés and drinks reception, occasional furniture dotted around the room – sofas, poseur tables with stools, banquettes and tables, so that people could sit in informal groupings. Entertainment – a drumming workshop created a magical bonding moment for all involved, and a circulating magician also provided something with appeal to all. Food was excellent – 3 types of ‘bowl’ food with substantial canapés. Delicious dessert canapés were also served. Disco/dancing was enhanced by exceptional lighting and two professional dancers to keep the dance floor buzzing all night.
