50th Birthday Party – July 2005
KP Events found a great venue that fulfilled all of the client’s criteria – certainly unique, certainly impressive but also hugely entertaining and great fun. The House of Magic was a terrific venue that none of the guests had ever been to before.
Guests were collected from a fixed meeting point by an original red Routemaster bus. Toward the end of the journey they were blindfolded, then driven and finally led into the venue’s magical garden. Blindfolds were then removed, and they were welcomed by their host, dressed as a butler but with his own head on a platter! During the pre-dinner drinks reception, guests were entertained by close-up magicians, tours of the haunted cellars and fortune-teller. After a seated hot and cold buffet, a gripping 30-minute show followed, performed by magician and illusionist Simon Drake, owner of the House of Magic. The evening was rounded off with a magical disco and the presentation of a magical cake.
